Maxy and Macy is getting older.

We got them in Year 2000 Millennium, after Max left us for 2 months. Only today then I realise they're already 8 years old. Max's death hit us quite badly because he was there since I'm young. From year 1988 - 2000. 12 years of being with this family, Max, although he was a dog, but I guess I regarded him as a sibling because I've no other one to play with at home.

So yes, Max left. And Mom said I was very upset. So both herself and Dad decided to buy another 2 dogs to replace Max. It did help. Dad bought these two cute Golden Retrievers pups from some dog farm. At that time, they were still pups and it's easy for me to play with them. I was only 10 that time. And yes, I had fun playing with them. And I even bring them out every night for strolls together with Dad.

Time changed. As I moved on to Secondary, I've less time for them. I seldom bring them out for strolls. They laze around the garden most of the time. And only when Zu, Pris or Christy come over, they'll bring them out for a walk. Sucha lousy owner. But the time when Maxy vomitted really scare the hell out of me. I thought I'll go through another round of painful seperation. Then I really made the effort to spend more time with them.

I took of 30mins from my schedule everyday to just stroke or comb their hair. If you want to do maths, it's just 15mins per day, with each of them. And just 105mins per week, 5460mins per year. But they, on the other hand, spend more than 95% of their lives with me. They came to my house when they were barely 2 months old.

Macy is a sweet girl. She never fails to pound on me when I reach home. Both of them will be lying down in the shade, waiting for us to get home everyday, without fail. Maxy love to whine when I ignore her on purpose, while Macy will drag her cute dress out from their room on rainy days. They are like babies, who wants attention. But often, we humans only give them attention when we're free from our busy schedule.

Maxy, Macy.
They are my friends since 10. I can easy confide in them, though I get no reply. But from their expressions, I know they understood me, and they know exactly how I'm feeling. Both of them bought more laughters home. True indeed, they are human's best companions.

Maxy, Macy, I love you.
